I’m feeling a bit nostalgic today, thinking back to those fun-filled fall days when my boys were little and every holiday was filled with wonder and excitement. This Smiling Jacks recipe is plucked straight from my oldest son’s Kindergarten days. He came home super excited waving this recipe in the air, they’d made them at school and he couldn’t wait to make them again at home. In fact, my boys made them every day that week leading up to Halloween, they loved them so much. And forever after, these Smiling Jacks became a fun snack we whipped up every Halloween. The best part about this recipe is that it’s ridiculously simple, totally kid-friendly and super fun to make even as an adult. All you need are tortillas and cookie cutters to carve out festive jack-o-lantern faces for an easy and delicious way to celebrate the season. Fry them up and the golden brown bubbles transform the faces of each creation. Some look funny, others look a little bit scary, but they’re all equally yummy. 🎃 Enjoy!
