Spiderweb Salad

I’ve been on a mission to create more Halloween Salads because I feel like it’s under represented in the realm of Halloween food. And let me tell you, I’ve been having a lot of fun creating and eating all these bad boys! And this one is no exception.  This refreshing salad is an Asian inspired Daikon Radish Salad with a garlicky rice wine vinegar dressing garnished with festive nori spiders and black sesame seeds. It’s so simple and comes together in a flash. And it keeps over night(minus the spider garnish) so you can make it ahead for your Halloween gathering. Serve it family style for a sit down dinner, or plate it into individual servings for an appetizer and cocktail Halloween party.

The only thing that makes this a Halloween dish is the simple edible spider garnish. An easy detail to add if you have a spider paper punch on hand and some nori sheets. I was lucky to have the mini spider punch by G Studio from years ago, which unfortunately I believe is discontinued since i can’t find it online, but there are other styles of punches like this large spider punch I purchased from The Punch Bunch on Etsy. Pick one up and make this delicious Spiderweb Salad! Enjoy!
