Equipment

  • Pizza Cutter
  • straws (two sizes)

Ingredients

  • cups all purpose flour
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. fresh rosemary, finely minced (or fresh herb of your choice)
  • tbsp. olive oil
  • ½ cup water
  • coarse sea salt (Variation: top with Everything Bagel seasoning or sesame seeds)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 500 degrees.
  • Add flour, salt, sugar, and rosemary into a medium bowl and whisk together. Add oil and water and mix until combined. Turn out on to parchment paper and roll out to ~⅛-inch thickness.
  • Use a pizza cutter to cut random shapes to create whimsical ghosts out of the dough. Crossing other lines to create the heads and/or tails of the ghosts. Don't worry if they are all different sizes, that's the fun of it. Use two different size straws to cut out eyes and mouths.
  • Brush ghosts with a little bit of water and top with coarse sea salt. Transfer the parchment paper onto a cookie sheet and place in a 500 degree oven. Close oven door and then turn temperature down to 425°. Bake for 12-16 minutes.
