Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 box strawberry cake mix, prepared (use only half of the baked cake)
  • cup prepared vanilla frosting
  • 1 cup white chocolate melting wafers
  • 1 cup milk chocolate melting wafers
  • cocoa powder(aging)
  • Wilton edible fine tip food color markers (details)
  • Candy weapons garnish (optional) (Wilton brand)

Instructions

  • Make cake according to package directions. Crumble one half of the baked cake into a medium bowl. (Frost the remaining half of the cake and enjoy) Add ⅓ cup frosting and mix until combined. Roll about a tablespoon of cake pop dough and press into Horror Movie characters mold. Freeze for a minimum of 1 hour.
  • Unmold cake pops. Wash and dry molds. Melt white chocolate according to package directions. Pour a small amount of white chocolate into the bottom of the molds and press the serial killer cake pops into the melted chocolate. Allow to harden and remove from mold. Melt milk chocolate according to package directions and dip the bottom half of the cake pops into milk chocolate to coat. Place a small amount of milk chocolate into a piping bag and squeeze chocolate to add details to the faces. Use food coloring pen to add details to Jason's face. Dust with cocoa powder to age Jason and Michael Myers faces. For Ghostface, add a little chocolate to parchment paper and place the cake pop in the chocolate to create the illusion of a robe. Garnish with Wilton weapons. (optional)
